Day Trippin

Aug. 4th, 2008 | 02:58 am

I'm home. I don't want to be.
Boston is my home now. And everyone I met there are my family. Never in my life did I think people like that existed. They are the greatest people I've ever met. I would seriously give up anything to go back to how life was a week ago.
Pictures as soon as I can find my camera battery.

Sunday, bloody Sunday

Art school is stressful. It's true what they say about the driving here. They're "Mass Holes". But most of the people here at the school are wicked awesome. And as hard as it is to believe, Southern Hospitality does exist, and I miss it. Although I am enjoying my time here and learning a lot of new things, I'll be glad to come home.

So I'm in Boston. Were actually on our way to the museum right now. Its been interesting. I've already made some things that I'm relatively proud of. The people are amazing, minus a few. I live in the best house, all my housemates are great and we have the most fun. The city is awesome and the professors are fantastic. I can't really update any more right now, but possibly I can make it to the library and do it there. :)

So it looks like my computer might get fixed by wednesday at the latest, or so they say. Turns out the whole hard drive crashed so we have to buy a completely new one. But at least that means I can take it to Boston with me.
Tomorrow my mom and I are going on one final shopping trip. Seems like the weather up there is mostly thunderstorms so ill be looking for rainboots. If anyone has any suggestions on where I could get some this time of year, it would be greatly appreciated.
I've never flown before so I really don't know what to expect. Suggestions would be nice. Like, what should I carry on? What can I carry on? I feel hopeless.
But I finally have my badass camera that I'm utterly in love with. Its an olympus dslr 10 megapixels with like, 28 settings and I can't remember what zoom lens on it. But its beautiful.
I'm so excited, only about 5 days left in NC!

Gold lions

My computer is officially screwed, so I'm posting from my blackberry. I don't know when it will be fixed. Probably not until after I get back from Boston.
Actually, I leave for Boston in 10 days. We still have to take care of some last minute arrangements, but other than that everything's pretty much set. The thought of living and learning with a huge group of people I've never met before kind of overwhelms me. I guess this is slightly what going to college feels like. I have two 50 pound suitcases and even more duffel bags. I hope that's enough. Good god this is going to be amazing.

Driving alone with the windows down, I fell in love with Fleetwood Mac all over again. Life's too great to sit at a computer and write about it constantly. I think I've found my niche. My fingers are stained black from playing with my stamps and ink. Someone really needs to grow up and realize he's running out of time for all this screwing around. I have no regrets, no guilt, just pity.
And as for me?
Cuddling, pikachu, hammocks, swimming, talking trees, pregnant wolf spiders, debates, parking decks, hank and gertrude, bird chairs, iced black and tan coffee, tate st, capillary hints of red, The Mars Volta, diving trees, highlighter shirts, iHop, lovelovelove.

Paranoia In B Major

May. 26th, 2008 | 09:59 pm

It's been so long. Nothing too exciting has happened.
I dropped my constantly freezing Sony Ericcson into the toilet and in return got a beautiful burgundy Blackberry Curve.
Starting to get things ready for my Boston trip! Luggage buying, Debit card preparation, essay writing (no, I still haven't done that).
Speaking of Boston, I will be there whenever the greatest thing to happen to North Carolina will be happening. Isn't it just my luck that the second time I've ever been outside of NC that Tilly and The Wall AND The Avett Brothers are playing at Cats Cradle one night right after the other. And I can't go! Talk about a bummer...

One thing I do have to look forward to is GrassRoots in October. It's an amazing part in my life now (thank you Ellen, Nick, Claire).

Oh Lord, the things to live for.

Other people are fuck-ups that can't/won't fix what they've done, but thank God I'm not. And they're the ones not to even bother with. I'm so glad I've realized that.

Life's great. Amazing. Spectacular.
